The OAFA Education Centre empowers pet owners of all ages with practical, science-based knowledge to become confident caregivers. Through age-appropriate programs — from school talks and STEM/STEAM animal science classes to hands-on training for owners, volunteers, and the wider community — we educate, inspire, and connect. Our goal is to foster empathy, responsible pet ownership, and a more compassionate society for animals at home and beyond.

Young learners program

Inspiring the next generation of animal advocates. Our hands-on children’s programs spark curiosity and teach compassion, responsibility, and safe animal interaction through fun, age-appropriate learning.

We offer flexible learning paths, from core STEM/STEAM-based animal science to academically enriched modules that enhances english proficiency.

  • STEM/STEAM animal science sessions (in-school or at OAFA Centre)
  • Animal Carer Badge: multi-level learning pathway from husbandry to behaviour
  • Pet Corner Setup & Teacher Training on animal care
  • Junior Vet Courses: health checks and veterinary clinical skills
  • Pre-Owner Classes: safe animal handling (e.g. skills in medicating)
  • Young Scientist Workshops: microscope work, basic surgical skills and mock veterinary procedures
